In August 2021, A group of invitation-only BMX street riders from the UK and beyond went go head-to-head on a purpose-built, 280 square metre course designed by Vision Ramps, in an incredible venue by the Forth & Clyde canal in Glasgow. The event featured riders such as Bruno Hoffman, Alex Donnachie and Alex Kennedy, and there was £3000 in prize money up for grabs.
The Venue “Live At No.40”, had space for over 200 spectators to enjoy the finals under its impressive canopy, usually reserved for opera and theatre productions. This event was delivered by Vision Ramps in partnership with Glasgow Life and the 2023 Cycling World Champs to celebrate the #PowerOfTheBike. We had additional support from DIG BMX, BSD and Seventies Distribution.
Our intention is to run this event again in 2022 and during the 2023 CWC to complement the other cycling events in the city.
